A Plea for Justice - 14 Years of Waiting and Still No Home
It’s with a heavy heart that I write this, hoping someone, somewhere, will hear us. My father invested his hard-earned savings in a flat at Rudra Palace Heights, Greater Noida West, Sector 1, back in 2011. It was supposed to be a dream home, but instead, it has become a never-ending nightmare. Fourteen years have passed, and we are still waiting for possession. The builder, despite countless promises, has never delivered. Court hearings drag on without progress, and the builder conveniently disappears on assigned dates. We've filed an NCLT case that's been stuck for over two years now. Before that, the builder hid behind the COVID excuse. The financial toll is unbearable. EMI payments continue relentlessly, draining our resources. Our savings are gone. Our lawyer, who we depend on for hope, charges us repeatedly, yet the system seems to favor the powerful. We are not alone in this struggle. More than 100 families are suffering alongside us. Many had envisioned these flats as their retirement homes. Tragically, some of them have passed away, never living to see their dreams realized. Others have fallen into deep depression, and some have even taken their own lives under the weight of despair. Despite numerous appeals, neither the Greater Noida Authority CEO nor the government has taken any decisive action to resolve this. We feel abandoned. Forgotten. Left to fight a battle we cannot win on our own. This post is not just a cry for help; it’s a call for accountability. We need someone to step in and bring justice to hundreds of middle-class families who have been wronged. If you or anyone you know can help us, please share this message. We cannot let this injustice continue unaddressed. Fourteen years is too long to wait for a home that was promised. Please, help us find the justice we so desperately need.3
