Parents suck

Some parents fail in life so they get children to try to succeed trough them. Either that or they'll blame their kid for ruining their career and ruin their childhood with their unconscious resentment. For example a woman is failing at becoming an athlete because of her own personal failings and gets pregnant because at the heat of the moment, she and her partner didn't use condoms. Then she chooses to have the child(her own choice when abortion and all kinds of contraceptives exist) and uses their pregnancy as an excuse for their failing career to protect and save their ego. Then while the child grows up, they'll transfer all that anger, regret and resentment to their child anyway even though the child is not at fault. Afterward the child will grow up to live a similar life because trauma is a cycle and stays for generations.
