Press club experience
Me and my girlfriend went to the press club for new year's, honestly the experience was weird. Great place to hangout if you're a group but won't suggest it for couples.First of all, I had called and tried to book a table outside in the lawn, but when i reached there, the receptionist said its reserved by the members which I accept as anyone will give priority to the members. The staff's behaviour was passively rude as the were constantly coming to our table as soon as we finished the drinks and kept asking if we wanted to repeat the order. The kitchen closed at 11 so we had to walk to a different place, luckily East India Company was pretty close to it. I casually put arm around my girlfriend's shoulder and we were talking, sometime later the receptionist came and said "sir please don't this kinda stuff, This is a club" as if we were doing something obscene, mind you, there were only two more tables occupied in the bar section. The good part about it was the food was really good and the alcohol was very pocket friendly (30ml red label whisky for 120 rupees) and they charged 200 as entry fee (either 100 per person or 200 is a general price I don't know) and the place itself if very nice if you like lowkey places.1
