Why am I getting strong static shock in Mysore

Hey everyone, I'm new to Mysore (been here for about three weeks), and I've been experiencing frequent static shocks. Whenever I touch metal objects like spoons, or even when my friends touch me, there's a noticeable shock. My friends have felt it too. I’m from Vizag and have never experienced anything like this before. At first, we joked that maybe my friend and I were a couple in a past life or that our place might be running some secret experiments, lol. But now I’m genuinely curious...could there be a scientific reason for this? Is it the weather, humidity, or something else? I’d love to know if others have experienced this too!
