Want to move to Mysore for 6 months, how to plan it

My husband and I are taking a break from work and have decided to move to Mysore to be in the quiet and green for 6 months. We live in Bangalore currently. How to find good flats to rent in Mysore? What areas are good to stay as I read some areas have sewage issues? Please guide us.
