This post is for the women in mysuru

Two mutual friends of mine were walking to college from their PG in the Metagalli area, on the way they saw a helmet guy with his pants down and masturbating. They didn't know what to do so they ran back to PG until their PG owner came out to see he was gone. Another incident happened a while ago. Another mutual friend of mine who stayed in Saraswathipuram a year ago had the same thing happen to her. Now in these situations, they were told to carry pepper spray with them but then if they have covered their faces and their D*cks are out then spray on that so that next time they never do these things. My friend's sister who stayed in Kuvempunagar PG was out in a chat street and this MAN was freaking naked in this public place and was catcalling the girls passing by. Now usually we women prefer public places because okay at least we'll be safe but then nope. When I stayed in Saraswathipuram, I brought groceries from a store and that store owner's son followed me home. I faced him and told him "Thika muchkond hodre sari" (it'll be better if you shut your ass and go) Yeah he did go away. I went home and told about this to my mom and though my mom said that she talked to the owner about his son's behaviour, after that she never let me go outside alone. Sure we shouldn't judge a place because of some creeps but then I've been here in this city for 4 years now, no close friends. If I ever end up in a situation like this I have nobody to call. During the Yuva-Dasara concert, I went there with one of my friend and she ditched me on the way back home and I ended up alone in an auto around 10 PM. Do you know how much overthinking I did about how this situation was going to end up worse? My parents live around 2 hours away from here, I'm in this city alone. That day I scrolled through my phone in search of at least one contact that I could call and talk to while I was in auto. I can't call my parents because they will make it all my fault. Every time I go out to eat at restaurants/cafes I can't help but notice how people are staring at me. It's not the clothes honestly, I always wear a kurta because of my college rules so it's not the revealing clothes. I always thought Saraswathipuram and Kuvempunagar were the safest in Mysore but turns out I was wrong. I thought Mysuru was the safest but turns out I was wrong again. You know I did make a post about the concert and how I ended up alone and a guy who claimed to be a medical student in MMC texted me saying "Banri ache hogana" (come let's go out) I said Anna I barely know you and you know what he said? "Asht ratri alli auto driver jothe edhri nan jothe barakke yenu?"(you were out with auto driver that late at night) GURU the audacity, I was out at night with an auto driver??????? An auto driver who dropped me home and this guy has the audacity to twist it and say it this way?? To the girls out there, I never had a friend here in this city and probably never will but if u need a friend I'm here for you. It's funny how men do the wrong things and we are told to be careful but they aren't held accountable but yeah it's just this way and it can't be fixed anytime soon so stay safe out there yeah? Please! One more thing, nobody has the right to touch u without your consent, no matter what you're wearing or where you are. Stay safe girlie!
