Let's not discourage investment just because we're too incompetent to hold the relevant people accountable.
I've been seeing a lot of anti investment and anti immigrant posts on this sub recently. IK I'll get a lot of hate for saying this but, Instead of blaming outsiders can we for once hold the administration accountable? Let's ask our DC, Mayor, politicians etc... to strictly enforce cleanliness, Traffic rules etc... Ask the police to increase patrolling. Before young Mysoreans had to go to Bangalore and even other states just to get a good job. Now things are changing. Just because you want "tranquility" that doesn't give you the right to ruin the chances for others to live and work in the city they grew up in. I want good companies to setup shop in Mysore. As for crowding, We need to expand Mysore city. Outside of \~10 km radius from the city center Mysore is virtually empty. Mysore is 12th largest district in Karnataka and all the settlement is concentrated in the city. We need to hold MUDA accountable(if it is still functioning). How many new projects has MUDA finished in the last 20 years? ZERO. Instead of demeaning ourselves just to dissuade outsiders & investments. Let's start demanding proper, functioning administration. NE Indian states also had the same itch, to protect themselves from outsiders, dissuade investments & avoid crowding. Today they're dependent on central govt handouts. Let's NOT make a mini version of it in Karnataka.3
