Had a call with former MP of Mysore regarding the suspicious fire
So as per the previous post put out by one of the netizens of the city I talked with the previous MP of Mysore regarding that issue. What he said was he has talked with Corporation about it and they have initiated the action on it and are in the process of dousing the fire immediately. Nothing much was discussed other than this information and he hung up the call immediately. I also tried approaching few people from Mysore who had high followers count on X , those who regularly posted about the city . He said he has to first gather information about this and will then think about what to do next. My question is- 1. Who gave them the permission to dump the garbage within the city limits? 2. I agree the corporation has initiated the action on it. But shouldn't we question the ignorance of the corporation for 3-4 days? The burial place is emitting poisionous gases into the air causing burning in eyes and other lung infections. 3. Shouldn't the corporation be held entitled for the deterioration of respiratory health of old people around the city? The main issue is - AQI of Mysore is reaching 110-130 on odd days. Even majority of the areas of Bangalore( except silk board and few areas) have better air quality compared to Mysore. What's the reason for it? Don't say 12 lakh population. Bangalore has way more population than us. Is it the corruption of our city's politicians and corporation who have granted permissions to the illegal industries to operate without following the pollution and emission regulations? Or is it the massive sugarcane field stubble burning happening around the agricultural lands surrounding Mysore? What's the reason for sudden deteriorating air quality from last 5-6 years? We as the netizens of the city need to question our representatives regarding this issue. If not addressed properly we'll be seeing our old age parents and grandparents suffering due to poor air quality. Moreover Mysore is a.k.a "Retiree's paradise".2
