People who were labelled as an academic failure, how are you doing now?

If you struggled with grades and were judged by family, friends, teachers or society, how did you deal with it, did it affect your confidence and choices growing up?  maybe because of low grades, lack of interest in studies, or just not fitting into the education system. What career path did you eventually take and how are you doing now?
