Mumbai “Dance Bars”

Hi, I’m trying to research dance bars for an art project that I’m doing. I’m mainly trying to get in touch with bar dancers or former bar dancers. I tried to get into one, but I’m a woman and wasn’t allowed. Was wondering if anyone has any contacts or knows how to approach this? I know it’s illegal, but I’m not a journalist and don’t plan on getting anyone in trouble. Just want to interview some girls about their lives.
