What is the point of going out for eats in this city?
. Transportation from One place to another is a nightmare. The convenient options like the Metro are not available late at night. . Eating out has become fucking expensive. A dinner for 4 with no drinks, 2 shared sabji, rotis, dal , rice, and 4 desserts is like 800 to 1200 rupees per person. Add a total of 4 beers to the mix and it goes to upto 1.5 k per person. . The ambience of most places in that price range is ordinary. . The quality of ingredients in many places has become sus. The local bhelwala with everything out in the open is more honest than middling restaurants. . Meeting friends means an hour commute and having to deal with chutya auto and / taxi people at night. Ola/Uber from restaurants are hit and miss. . Drunk creeps at night everywhere.1
