Today i lost faith in the people of my country.
I just watched Mohak’s video this morning to see how things were going, and man, it’s just awful. I genuinely don’t understand the hatred. How do you get so angry over a joke that you start calling for people to be hanged? How do you justify making scarecrows of their faces and setting them on fire? And the irony—these are the same people who cry about "sanskaar" and morality, while 80% of them are probably watching the content on VPN anyway. This show meant a lot to me, and not just to me, but to so many others. It gave people a reason to laugh during tough times, provided a platform to countless creators, and literally changed lives. And yet, one joke is all it takes for people to decide it should be wiped off the face of the earth? That’s what we’ve come to? The hypocrisy is next-level. People are ready to cancel a podcast over a joke, but the fact that: * **41% of MPs have cases against them, 36% for serious crimes**—nobody wants to cancel that? (found stats in a video) * **Air pollution is at its worst levels**—but sure, let’s focus on a video. * **Unemployment is rising**—but outrage farming is apparently more important. * **Inflation is skyrocketing**—but no, trending hashtags against a YouTuber takes priority. And of course, there’s always that one politician desperate for relevance—like the one from Guwahati, who took things to a whole new level by filing FIRs against everyone involved. Why? Just to show people he "cares." We all know the game. What’s happening to Ranveer over one joke—whether you liked it or not—is just insane. If you don’t like something, **don’t watch it**. It wasn’t even forced onto anyone’s feed; it was behind a paywall! People could have simply ignored it, but no, outrage sells, and people would rather ruin someone’s career than just move on. And for what? Because they can’t comprehend that a person might have different sides to them? Yes, he talks about spirituality, but that doesn’t mean everything he does has to revolve around it. When will people understand that? Honestly, I feel like half these people don’t get attention or validation at home, so they jump onto these outrage bandwagons to feel important. They love the likes, the retweets, the brief sense of relevance it gives them. It’s just sad and safe to say i lost a lot of faith in the people of my country. What do yall think about this?3
