Thakur College -- Help

I have an interview cum test scheduled tomorrow at Thakur College in Kandivali East So I have my grandfather accompanying me as I am travelling from a different city My question is , is the area around the college safe ? since they will be alone (around 12 to 6) is the college safe? Please help mumbaikars!!
