Need office commute advice.

Hi people, Could somebody suggest me on whether should I buy a bike for 14km travel from chembur to Mahalakshmi for daily office commute or not. Currently I take AC train + Cabs and 1 hour extra office hours to match with AC train timing. With this new price hike, I am almost shelling out too much and getting a bus really kills my soul everyday and yeah I don't like crowds. Around 8 months in mumbai so fairly new to the place.
