HELP - Birth Certificate

Hi everyone! I need some help. I was born in Mumbai in 1992 so my birth certificate is handwritten (from the BMC H Ward). I have always lived abroad so unfortunately I’ve never visited a BMC office. I need to get my original birth certificate digitalized and entered into their online database, so that I can obtain a digital copy of my birth certificate - given that I need to do some paperwork and the authority won’t accept my handwritten birth certificate. I can travel to India soon with my original birth certificate. Any ideas how to get it digitalized? Whom to contact? Any thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
