Feeling Lost After Career Transition – Need Advice
Hey everyone, I’m 27 and struggling with my career. I come from an IT background but transitioned to sports management because I was passionate about it. I completed my post graduation in Sports Management last year in October. Post that I gave three months of constant interviews, I’m facing rejection due to salary expectations. My last sports management job ended badly because I was scammed by my employer, forcing me to leave. I've explained it in my previous post. Before I landed my first job in IT, I had also faced 1.5 years of unemployment, so this feeling isn’t new, but it’s hitting me harder this time. My family is suggesting I go back to IT or another industry since sports management is niche and doesn’t have a structured career path. To make things worse, all my batchmates have secured jobs, and I’m the only one still searching. It’s really taking a toll on my motivation and mental health. I’m torn between sticking with my passion and taking a practical route for stability. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you navigate it? Any advice on what I should do next? Would appreciate any insights or suggestions. Thanks in advance.5
