• Experiencing classism at Mumbai Domestic Airport’s Oasis Lounge

I had an early morning flight at 5 AM, so I decided to wait at the Oasis Lounge at Mumbai Domestic Airport. I arrived around 2 AM, but the staff informed me that the lounge was closed and would open at 3 AM. They told me to sit and wait, which I understood and complied with. I was dressed casually in a solid-colored t-shirt and joggers. At around 2:15 AM, a well-dressed group of people arrived, and to my shock, they were allowed into the lounge immediately. Curious and confused, I approached the staff again, only to be told that the lounge was still closed. When I questioned why the other group was let in, they gave me absurd excuses like, "They are older in age than you." Seriously? What does that even mean? I'm 19, and I expect to be treated with the same respect and fairness as any other customer. This experience felt deeply discriminatory and unfair. It’s disheartening to see such behavior, especially at a place that’s supposed to provide premium service to all its customers. Have others faced similar issues here? How do we ensure that such treatment doesn’t go unnoticed? (I have an HDFC Infinia Metal credit card and also priority pass for lounge access)
