• Dear Mumbai, Only you guys could help me 😊

Dear Mumbaikars, I know Mumbai is different. Mumbai is nostalgic. When I first came from Kerala to Mumbai, I was overwhelmed by the smell, the rush, the people, and the busy life. Slowly, I adapted to it and began to love everything about the city—the smell, the rush, the sound of local trains, the honking Santro taxis, and even the long queues. Eventually, I became a son of Mumbai. I fell in love with this city and its charm. When I first arrived here for a job, I lived with my sister and brother-in-law in Navy Nagar, Colaba. From there, I commuted daily to Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, for almost 1.5 years. When I later shifted to Bangalore for work, I started missing Mumbai—the sea lines, Marine Drive, CST, local trains, and BEST buses. Now, after a long time, I’ve finally got a job in Lower Parel, near Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Parel East. But this time, I don’t have any accommodations. When I started searching online, I was shocked by the rent. Have all my efforts to get back to Mumbai been in vain? I cannot afford the high rents with my limited salary. The maximum I can spend on rent is ₹9,000, and I still need to manage expenses for three meals a day, which will cost around ₹6,000-7,000. I also need to save for my future. Dear friends, if anyone knows of any rooms, PGs, hostels, or flat-sharing options near MG Hospital, Parel East, within a rental budget of ₹9,000 for two-sharing—whether it’s mixed sharing or any other arrangement—please help me. I’m 26, from Kerala, and in a very confused and stuck situation. If I can’t find something now, I fear I may miss this opportunity forever. Dear Mumbai, please help me!
