At 27, I’m tired of being asked when I’m getting married at every family function
So, I'm 27, and lately, every time I attend a family event, the first question I get from everyone is “When are you getting married?” Two years ago, no one even brought it up, but now it's become non-stop, and honestly, it’s starting to feel overwhelming. The thing is, I just started my career, and I can’t even think about marriage right now. It’s my choice whether I marry or not, but it feels like I can’t escape this constant pressure from relatives. My parents aren’t pushing me about it, but it’s like every other relative feels they have a right to ask. It’s getting to the point where I’m considering avoiding family functions altogether just to escape this never-ending question. Anyone else feeling this way? How do you deal with relatives who constantly ask about marriage?5
