Making sense of TVS's new 300cc engine.

TVS already have a 310, then why would they develop a new engine that too a little bit less powerful than 310? Surely they won't put this in next upgrade of RR310 or RTR310 because that would mean, "upgrading" their bikes with an engine that produces less power, that's not a "upgrade". That too when they have to re-engineer their bikes to fit this new engine in place of old reverse inclined one. So, if RTR and RR are out of equation, what do are they left with? Since, Adv is confirmed. A Ronin upgrade? That's seems plausible. This new engine will make it leagues ahead of it's rival Hunter 350. What else do they have? Oh wait, so this bad boy RTS X might actually have a chance to come into production? or maybe an enduro? They Don't have too many options with this engine.
