    Finally got my first bike

I made a post here few months ago stating my choice and my dad's (hunter 350). I am not a 'biker' so I told my dad I don't really need a bike, but if you want to buy one I only want Scram 411. So after many months of discussion he understood that I will never settle for any other bike lol. I liked Apache RR310 in my 2nd year of my college but my dad didn't approve. Then after going to Manali, me and my friends rented 2 bikes; Himalayan and Scram 411. I ride Himalayan mostly but whenever I switched to Scram I swear I loved the bike soo much. I fell in love with it, it was almost equally good in Off-roading as himalyan and looked much much MUCH better than the himalyan 411. We almost drove these bikes like 250-300 km from Tosh to Keylong. And yeah finally here I get one, hoping to go for long rides again. In just 6 days of getting this, the rear tyre got punctured lol from a NUT not even a sharp screw. Got very pissed and scared about how easily it happened to such thick tyres lol. I need advices from all the bike enthusiasts, I don't know a lot of details like you do, I'm still learning and this is my first bike so please give me advices on; 1. How I should maintain the bike good 2. What precautions and accessories for longrides. 3. What mechanical things that I need to learn which would be helpful for me if anything happens to the bike etc.
