Electric or petrol

I own a classic 350 and I used to use my dad's mahindra centuro for daily commuting but it broke and as the bike is discontinued I'm facing issues maintaining it. So I was thinking of getting a scooter as my mom wants one too. I am confused between petrol and electric. Actually I want to try owning one but I don't want to face any problem with service. I mostly want one to ride within cities. Should I go for petrol or electric? And if electric which brand I should go for?
