Got my new bike: Husqvarna Svartpilen 401
**Got my new bike: Husqvarna Svartpilen 401** **Other Bikes Considered:** * Triumph Scrambler 400X * RE Himalayan 450 * Duke 390 * Pulsar NS400Z **Observations:** 1. **Triumph Scrambler 400X:** A great bike with excellent suspension, and test vehicles were readily available. On the first test ride, I liked it and almost finalized my decision. However, after a second test ride, I decided against it due to the seat height, as my wife wasn’t very confident riding it. (My family felt it was the best-looking bike among the contenders.) 2. **RE Himalayan 450:** I liked the suspension, but the performance didn’t impress me as much. It also felt a bit heavy, especially since my previous bike was a Duke 200. 3. **Duke 390:** Loved the engine performance, but it was rejected by my family due to the orange color scheme. Finally, I settled on the **Husqvarna Svartpilen 401**. I was very happy with the test ride, as it shares the same engine as the Duke 390. However, I felt that the tires, with their block pattern, were holding back its full potential due to their heavier nature. The bike also looks fantastic in person. **Initial Observations:** * The Svartpilen 401 is definitely an attention magnet; I’ve been asked about it a few times at traffic signals. * Adjusting the suspension results in an immediately noticeable improvement in ride quality. * The bike is very agile, performing well both in city traffic and on highways. * Fuel economy is around 26 km/l in the city and 29 km/l on highways after 600 km on the odo. * The headlight throw is excellent, providing great visibility at night. * Bluetooth connectivity is missing but can be installed separately by the service center for around ₹5,000. * The pillion comfort is adequate—both my mom and wife are comfortable with it. https://preview.redd.it/95k2aza5qt8e1.jpg?width=4096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73ee298b1ce87b7be63936dd8e1b937335ae8b522
