Duke 250 Gen3 20 Days Ownership Review
Bought Gen 3 Duke 250 20 days ago. I ride 50kms everyday for office and gym. Here are likes and dislikes as of now to help you decide if you want it. I will keep adding more as I recall or you can drop your questions below. Pros - Lightweight and Easy to Handle : It makes me feel confident when I'm riding it. Taking U turns is a piece of cake. - Looks fantastic : The front of this bike looks amazing. Specially this color, it stands out from the crowd but orange alloys look better imo. - Perfect Performance and Power : It is very balanced. It can deliver the power whenever its needed and doesn't feel intimidating at all. - Traffic Friendly : Havent felt any pain or discomfort while navigating through traffic, that combined with lightweight makes it convenient. - Quickshifter and Slipper Clutch : It's good to have but i rarely use the quickshifter, it feels jerky at times. - Colored TFT - It looks beautiful. The whole instrument cluster with the switches looks good specially at night - Road presence : It's decent, it might go unnoticed at times but when people see it they admire it or even ask about it. - No major heating or vibrations: It has normal heating and slight vibrations when I redline it. - Mileage : Currently getting 30kmpl average with joyride sometimes and normal ride everyday. Cons - Low RPM sound : Exhaust note, specially at low rpm sounds like an ordinary commuter bike. It is a little disappointing. - Low quality of switches : The control switches on handle are made with good material but they dont feel good when u use them, there isnt the premium clicky feel to them. My high beam stopped working after 2 days. - Rear brakes : idk if its skill issue but i feel like the rear brakes are not responsive enough. ive had a minor crash once due to it. - Jerky shift from gear 2 to 1 : Not sure if thats how it's supposed to be but it doesn't feel as smooth as other gears. - This color is dust magnet : Need to clean it everyday else it looks dull. Verdict : Do I regret buying this? Absolutely not. I love it and cant wait to put countless kms on it. But I do get the feeling that I could have bought speed or cb350rs due to exhaust note but I knew it while buying it. No bike is perfect, its all up to you, if its perfect for you.4
