Are you a Motorcycling or Touring enthusiast?

I've had a fair share of riding in groups with people and from what I've seen, more than 90% of all people are touring enthusiasts and not motorcycling enthusiasts. They will call themselves 'riders' or 'motorcyclists' but then ONLY talk about Leh Ladakh, Spiti or Mustang. No talks about how to improve their skills, how to learn new things like cornering for their own good, not for the sake of cornering and knee scrapping. What are you and what are your thoughts?
