A woman rammed me with her scooter and ran away | Bengaluru
I was on the way to office at 10.30am on the banaswadi flyover, just before Orion avenue Mall. It's my daily route to office. I was observing this lady on her Vespa changing lanes without using indicators or looking in her rear view mirrors. I honked at her as I moved past her and she definitely gave me a stink eye. Nevertheless, I'm driving at a reasonable pace and the road is empty ahead of me and enough space for someone to over take me if required. All of a sudden someone crashed into my bike from behind and I lost balance falling on my left side. My bike was still on me and people quickly surrounded me trying to help. They removed the bike, removed my helmet and offered me water. Meanwhile I'm lost and confused and in alot of pain. My left arm was locked and moving it hurt. People are scolding the girl as many noticed that she was rash driving. Since it was a woman, nobody could say much to her. She was apologizing and saying she'll take care of me, but I was too stunned to respond. Idk what to do except to be safe and go to the hospital. I should have taken picture of her and her vehicle or her number. Even the traffic cop came who did nothing. Then someone offered me lift to the corner so that the road can be cleared and traffic can pass through. This allowed the woman to scoot away. Now my arm is fractured with recovery of 45 days at the least and my bike damaged while the woman had to face no consequences or repercussions I'm really disgusted by the hypocrisy of the society. If the genders were reversed, God knows what case could have happened to me. The least she could do was help me to the hospital. But this girl just got a free pass despite being a nuisance. I regret not being able to file a police case against her.4
