Safest travel mode from goa to Mangalore with alcohol

Can I carry local fenny and port wine from goa to Mangalore without a permit. Will they check anywhere in the travel, which is the safest option to travel? bus or train ? Edit:Travelled by train and made sure to enter the station when the train arrived.Unfortunately the train stood for 15mins that's when cops arrived and found 4 bottles out of many carried.They asked to pay 2k.We didn't have any cash and showed wallet that had only 200 .They said gpay wouldn't work and just asked to pay 200 slowly and left us.But for the ones who had expensive alcohol all bottles were taken.Hope this helps
