Accommodation near Infosys

I’ve recently been transferred to Mangalore from Pune, and I have a few questions regarding the city: Would it be better to stay around the campus or travel to office every day? This is a major concern for me as the campus is far from the main city. I would appreciate it if any current or ex Infosys employees could help me out here. How expensive is it to live in Mangalore as compared to other cities? How bad is the traffic and general road safety? I was happy to be leaving the horrible Pune drivers behind but I read online that Mangalore isn’t much better in that regard, is this true? I apologise if this post is breaking any rules, but I couldn’t find many answers to my questions online. Thanks in advance!
