Shifting to Madurai

Hey All, I'm 26M from Mumbai, I stayed in Chennai last year and now moving to Madurai for a year. Please help with suggestions in areas to live and daily/weekend activites to do in and around Madurai. Suggestions for places to meet people of my age would be great as I don't know anyone in the city. PS: Any people who play football regularly? Thanks, pls help a brother out
