How much time does it take for the officials to respond to your RTI?

It's been a week but the status still shows 'Pending for Approval'. Now I know one should not be very hopeful regarding cases like these in our country but still I want to know if they are deliberately not recognizing my application or what, or if this is gonna be addressed at some point or it's going to be pending forever. I'm aware there's a 30 days deadline for them to respond but I wanted to gather the information asap for my case (again not being very hopeful). If someone has knowledge regarding these things please shed some light. Thank you.
