Property purchase advice needed
Hello Kochi redditors! I am considering buying a property of 5.25 cents with a house in Edapally. The house was built 8 years ago and the land is currently classified as wetland. The owner is in the process of converting it to dryland, with Form 5 already completed and Form 6 currently underway. The owner has expressed interest in selling the property at this point. I am looking at this property as a potential home for my mother following my father's passing. One of the key advantages is its proximity to our close relatives who live directly opposite the house. I also want to add that the owner hasn't budged from his original asking price of 1.4Cr, stating that he already gave the best price to avoid negotiation. Questions: 1. Based on these details, do you think purchasing this property is a good decision? 2. How long does the Form 6 process typically take to complete? 3. Is it usual for buyers to not budge from their asking price in this market? I'm a bit confused with this approach from them. Does this seem to be a fair price? Please let me know if there are any legal or procedural aspects I should consider before going ahead with this. I have already engaged a lawyer for all the regular due diligence which is happening in parallel, so I'm pulling for any advice outside of that, based on your experiences. Your advice is much appreciated!4
