Job query related post

Hi I am a civil engineer graduate. So I worked as a trainee for about 3 months in a civil engineering field. After that for one year I just didnt do any work. I was nervous, underconfident and nobody to ask for help(college life was not the best). I didnt know what to do. After that I was preparing for competitive exams. I could nt crack this year. I want to break out of this bubble and meet people and make income. So the thing how do companies recruit workers. I dnt have much prior experience. I want to work in organizing, managing kind of work. I applying to jobs rn but no call back. If we call companies directly, will there be any use? What all this I can do?
