Kerala police is awesome (Another story)
I am recalling something that happened around 8 years ago. I was 18 or something and was traveling with family. We were 4 (Pappa, Amma, Sister, and me), and were on our car. It was night and there was a light shower too. My father was driving. He did not see a divider in the middle of the road and the front tyre smashed into the divider. Luckily, there were no big problems. The tyre (and the drum) got damaged and we could just replace the tyre with spare tyre and proceed. But, because of the rain, it was very hard to replace the tyre there. We drove a few meters forward, looking for any roof (hoping for someone's house, some good tree shade, or anything at all). The first building we came across was a police station. Unsure of what to do, we decided to go in anyway. We went in, and asked if we could keep the car under the car porch and replace the tyre. They allowed immediately. Just as we (me and my father) opened the boot to take out the tyre, the police officers came and took over charge. We were unsure of how to take out the spare tyre and all (the car was kinda new and this was the first time we were using spare). The police guys worked as a proper team and figured out everything. It was super fun. It got over in around 15 minutes. It was time to say bye. My father couldn't express how thankful he was. He didn't feel like leaving just like that. Also, we didn't have anything we could gift them or anything, except for a few bananas. He took out the bananas, and offered the bananas to them. After saying a formal "No, thank you" and all, they happily took it and started sharing the bananas among themselves. We said bye to them and left as they were eating the bananas. That day completely changed how we saw police.3
