Sim card deactivation scam?
I got a call from an unknown number starting with 00. It was an automated message that told me my bsnl number would be deactivated and to ask for more details, press 9. I pressed 9 and got on call with a person that told me that someone bought a sim card in my name in Mumbai and was using it to spread advertising and such. For that reason, they're deactivating both my accounts. In the moment, I was panicked and so told them my name and age. I didn't question the logic of asking my name or age until later. They didn't ask for anything else. This is a scam yes? Will they get access to my bank with just the info I have given them??4
