Need of QR scanners in KSRTC buses
I had a bad experience in August 2024. I was travelling from TVM to PTA via KSRTC. I had dengue(my count was below 25000)I was bleeding while on the flight and was on the way from the airport to the hospital(the doctors wanted to admit me back in AP but the private hospital charge a lot much better treatment in district government hospitals in Kerala). It was past 10 at night I guess I got into the bus I didn't have any liquid cash with me since I was brought up in AP it's common in APSRTC buses to have QR code scanners which is way easier and practical. I haven't even thought about the money since scanner was a regular thing in buses back there. The conductor dropped me out of no where when I told him my condition and all the passengers were kind of looking at me with pity. This was an emergency situation and the bus drive entirely made the situation worser. Coming to Trivandrum auto drivers most of them charge way more than the regular price so I was waiting by the road I don't know where exactly and was crying suddenly a kind auto drived pulled up . At first I wanted to go to the police station but I changed my mind i was kind of stinky from the unusual bleeding and all . He drove me to the ATM (this is another problem with our state .. it's very difficult to find one ) i withdrew some money and dropped me off at Thampanoor bus station and he even gave me change . This made me realise that our state need to be more advanced on technology it might help people during emergency situations and on a daily basis too. I'm not sure whether we have that situation cleared up by now or not but i hope for the sake of our people3
