How things changed since the start of 2020?

Hey everyone, I was on a taxi yesterday and was speaking to the driver about general life. He had mentioned that his life changed upside down during Covid. He seemed to have OK life before and brought a new car on loan thinking of repaying from the taxi service. With Covid happening he was not able to repay any loan as his job pretty much stalled. So he had to take further loans to pay it monthly. For me everything was fine up to here. But what he said next made me a bit sad. Due to all the loans, he had to shift his 3 kids to a different school with lower fees. He seems so worried with his kids having now friends who are not really that great and is losing focus on studies and not able to provide the best education for them which he had planned. Do people here have similar experiences?
