Felt good to see a parent teach civic sense to his 2 year old kid
After my evening leisure stroll, i stopped by my regular cooldrink shop to grab a drink. I happened to see a man with three kids (don't know whether he's the parent to all of them). The eldest one i'd guess being 6-7 years old and the yongest one, a boy being about 2 - 2.5yrs old. They were eating lays and having drinks as i stepped in and shortly i happened to hear the parent telling the younger kid 'No, you can't do that. Put that in the dustbin placed there.' They are malayalees, but uses english in between, even the young one. Now, after seeing that, the shopkeeper told the parent that leave it, he'll take care of that. But the parent insisted and made the kid to pick it up and put it in the waste bin. I was really moved by this gesture of the dad as i've never seen someone teach their kid civic sense publicly. Most parents i've seen wouldn't care about what their kid does with the left over wrappers after they eat, some even make the kid to throw it off somewhere. But here, he didn't even pick it up, he made the kid do it himself. I'm sure the kid will remember this going forward and maintain the good habit. I felt like posting this here as i felt happy that the new generation parents are imparting good manners to their kids. Now, after seeing this, i would also want to teach my kids(when i have them😉) manners like this dad.4
