Fellow friends from God's own country - Tell me what else I'm missing to try in terms of Kerala food
Context: I'm from Bombay and I visit Kerala atleast three times a year, and I try everything local wherever I visit. On one of my recent trips to Kerala, when returning from Kottayam to Kochi. I requested my cab driver to stop at a roadside tea stall. I asked for chai and I saw delicious looking brown bhajia at the stall - I asked for one and this is what I usually do, I try what looks tempting or, I try what I see most others are having. And wholla, it was amazing and I asked what I was served and the guy said it was 'Ulli Wada'. The humble onion or Kanda bhajji in my terminology but yet so different and tasty. I've tried and I love other Kerala specialities - - appam w stew Puttu and Kadala curry Beef fry Egg roast Malabar parotta and the likes I would like to know, what else am I missing which isn't popular as Kerala specialities ( like Ulli wada which I can't find any where else).2
