Do not use BSNL Broadband [A Rant about BSNL Broadband]
In our home, we were using Railwire for the past 1-2 years, but about 4 months ago, we switched to BSNL from Railwire Broadband connection because that was the only way to get retail access to a LAN Phone connection. We switched to BSNL Basic Plus plan, which supposedly “offered” 150 Mbps. Now, currently, I’m in college, so I only go home occasionally, but every time I do, it is noticeable how slow the network has become. The maximum speed I got was 20 Mbps, and sometimes it would dip below 2 Mbps. So I called the guys who set up the WiFi for a resolution. They gave me another number for BSNL Broadband connection. I called them 3, 4 times after which they finally picked up my call and said that the router was hung and to restart the router. I told them that I had already done that and it made no difference. But they abruptly hung up. This all happened a week ago and to this day they haven’t picked up my phone. I called them like 15 times. I never had a problem like this with Railwire. They were so reliable and rarely when the speed dips they would come to my home and resolve whatever the issue might be. I am disappointed at their service and if it weren’t for the LAN connection I would have switched in a heartbeat.12
