How to get a ping pong table/pool table for as cheap as possible?

Considering either of the two, to play with kids in family. Is buying a ping pong table worth it? Are there cheaper options available? If someone were to get it made, would that be more cost-effective? Pool table most likely for an office space. Suggest.
