29, BSc IT Graduate with Data Analytics Skills - Struggling to Break into Tech. Need Urgent Career Advice!
Hey fellow tech enthusiasts, I'm in a tough spot and hoping to get some advice from the community. Here's my situation: I'm a 29-year-old BSc IT graduate from Kuvempu University with a NIIT certification. After spending years preparing for government exams without success, I've pivoted to data analytics. I've invested time in: - Completing a data analyst course - Gaining proficiency in Python - Creating multiple projects - Building technical skills The Challenge: Despite my efforts, I'm facing significant roadblocks: - Most companies have strict degree requirements (B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech) - Zero response from job applications on LinkedIn/Naukri.com - Mounting family pressure - Feeling increasingly discouraged Potential Solution? Some suggest pursuing a 2-year master's program. But I'm unsure if this is the right path. Questions for the community: 1. How can I overcome the degree barrier? 2. Are there alternative pathways to enter the data analytics field? 3. Should I invest two more years in a master's program? I'm 100% committed to learning and working hard. Any guidance, personal experiences, or actionable advice would be immensely appreciated. Thanks in advance3
