Need insight!
“For someone who does not have a strong preference for any specific field, is it better to pursue Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in an NIT rather than Computer Science (CSE) in a tier-2 college? Many students from non-CSE branches in top institutes eventually transition to IT jobs, but this requires managing both their core coursework and learning programming on the side. This adds immense pressure, leaving little time for social activities, as they must work extremely hard for four years only to end up in an IT job anyway. Would it still be more beneficial to study a core branch at an NIT, considering its reputation and opportunities, rather than opting for CSE in a lower-ranked college? How should I decide based on long-term career prospects, job opportunities, and overall work-life balance during college?”what r the advantages of nit/iit tag ?4
