My 2 cents of advice as someone who's older than you folks.
I'm over my jee days, got in a tier 3 college, in my last semester, doing an internship, earning a bit of money to live by myself, and still looking for a job. We will always be chasing the next big thing, that dream college, that 6 figure job, dream house, love of our lives, dream destination wedding ,and what not. Here's my two cents of advice as someone who is older than you folks... Make hard work your HABIT there's no other choice, REMEMBER...life doesn't get ANY EASIER after 12th, only you get tougher, embark on self discovery, start doing self care routine, and be consistent in your efforts without being attached to the outcome. Yes the system is rigged, yes the world is NOT FAIR, yes there is reservation for people from lower castes, but we have no right to blame them, it's not in our control, *let go* and only care about your work and be consistent. Looking back the only thing I regret is that I didn't learnt my lesson from jee, which was to stop being lazy and to stop procrastination and communicate more with people. But now I'm older and somewhat mature, I'm grateful for my friends, family, and hate to say it..but also for my tier 3 college. Devote yourself fully to the work you are doing without being concerned about the outcome. We are all gonna die anyways, so keep working and don't forget to stop frequently and look around your surroundings and be grateful. Stop blaming the government, the system, and everything that you cannot change, it's a game, play it your way. You will find your way, when you will look inside yourself, and when you will take care of your physical and mental health by staying active and being aware of your emotions. Your thoughts and emotions determine this very present moment, so be kind to yourself and make your mind a good space for yourself. Stay away from toxicity, the posts where people flex their grades (lol i tried being relatable 😭), only care about what you are doing. Are you putting in the efforts? That's all matters, respect your work, do it diligently, do it religiously. This will indirectly increase your self esteem and self image. The journey matters the most so make it memorable without caring about the destination.5
