Isn't that concerning? (Ez cheese to get 200marks)
Hear me out, let us assume JEE had 75 MCQs with 4 options.Correct option = +4marks and incorrect = -1marks. Now, average score made frrom attempting one question:- ➡️chance of correct × 4marks = 1/4 × 4 = 1 Now subtract for the incorrect options. ➡️chance of incorrect × -1 marks = 3/4 × -1 = -3/4 so total=1 - 3/4 = 1/4 marks So... 1 attempted question equals 0.25 marks gained.So, attempting all questions equals to 75/300 marks. Now,Assuming you scored atleast 75% in 12th boards (Which you did if you give JEE),you MUST be able to eliminate atleast 1option from the 4 options in any question. Hence; Average marks from one question = ➡️chance of correct × 4marks = 1/3 × 4 = 4/3 Now subtract for the incorrect options. ➡️chance of incorrect × -1 marks = 2/3 × -1 = -2/3 so total= 4/3 - 2/3 = 2/3marks. Hence attempting all questions gets you 300 × 2/3 that is... 200/300marks. So...isn't that concerning?🤨4
