"Boards vs JEE: Why CBSE is Changing the Game in 2024 & 2025!"
I think CBSE doesn’t want students to neglect board exams because of JEE or NEET anymore. They are not competing with NTA; instead, they want to increase the value of board exams among students. Ever since the Physics paper was tough in 2024, everyone has started taking boards seriously. Before that, the mindset was to focus only on JEE since boards were considered easy. However, the 2024 and 2025 Physics papers genuinely tested whether students had properly studied and understood the concepts—no rote learning. The issue is that schools don’t teach at that level, nor is NCERT sufficient (at least for Physics). People also forget that, if I’m not wrong, before 2018, CBSE itself used to conduct JEE, so making a tough paper isn’t a big deal for them. In 2025, some regions still got an easier Physics paper, while in others, it was extremely difficult. But in 2024, the paper was tough everywhere. edit:- I’m sorry about the NCERT comment. Someone even mentioned that NCERT’s chapter sequence and coverage are good, and I would agree with that.1
