Civilized hona h, westernize hote jaa rhe h

I was having conversation with my colleagues few days back about this. These guys were debating western ideology follow Krna and civilized hona both are very similar if not exactly same. I agree to this to some point ki thik h wo rules follow krte h, litter nhi krte aur bhi ek do things ho skti but is that all? Kya civilized hona bhi yhi h? Isn't being civilized means ki we have strong moral values, we care about welfare of others. Isn't western culture is all about materialism and being civilized is sort of about spiritualism? Hook up culture, packaged food and lot of other things hmne acquire kr li h west se jbki jo achi baate h wo nhi kr paye, aisa kyu idk. I am also a part of it to some point. This makes me feel really bad, but again hm sirf khud pe kaam kr skte h dusro pe nhi.
