What is the discourse on air quality index in Jaipur?

Apparently the AQI of Jaipur has gone as high as 306 which is too high for a city with a population of 43 lakhs. Air purifiers seem to be selling like hot cakes in Delhi but the AQI discourse is almost non-existent here. What makes people be so casual about a scenario like this where breathing gets more difficult, considering the amount of risk faced by old people?
