Bus connecting Airport to the City

There should be an airport shuttle bus service connecting the city to the airport. Having spent the past few months in Bangalore, I must say their airport bus service is excellent. It’s affordable, punctual, and covers major parts of the city. In contrast, arriving in Indore and being excessively charged for a mere 10 km journey feels unreasonable. This issue wouldn’t arise if there were a bus service from the airport. Currently, as far as I know, there’s no public transport available from there—your only options are an auto or a cab. Folks please share your opinion on this.
