Unable to send sms verification message for phonepe upi verification, HELP!!

So I've changed my phone recently and was trying to setup my phonepe account on the new phone. I'm logged in successfully but when i try to activate my bank account it's sending verification message but it's not getting sent(coming up as "not sent" in messaging app) and phonepe shows unable to verify. Things I've tried so far: Resetting/restarting phone. Uninstalling app/clear cache and data. Permissions are all given. And yes there is balance in my phone number. Please help me solve this issue as it's been a while I'm trying to get on it but then it shows try after 24hrs and my heart breaks a little at yet anothe failure. Jk, anyone who have encountered/solved such issue, insight is appreciated.
