Scammers killing humanity?

Do you feel scammers are killing humanity? When there were scams where they were approaching people online or through phones, that was different. But nowadays, when they are posing as someone in need and approach you in person for help, this will kill the people's intentions to help someone who actually needs help. Cases like:   1. Where they ask for your mobile phone to call someone and dial a number for forwarding your incoming calls or messages to some other number.   2. Where they ask for an address by showing you a paper and do something, which hypnotizes people and then they rob you ( Idk if it's true but read it on reddit and insta). I know there are precautions which one can follow but who will want to take a risk as the scammers always come up with something new. People will just stop interacting and helping unknowns. Why do you think?
